Kyle Kaniecki, PhD

Director of operations

Before joining Perception Neuroscience, Dr. Kaniecki received BS in Zoology from University of Wisconsin-Madison, a MS in Drug Discovery and Molecular Targets from the Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Genetics and Development from Columbia University where he worked to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of homologous recombination and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies with Dr. Eric Greene (HHMI). He coordinated Hopkins role in the joint development of Kalydeco™ with Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a project Forbes named "the most important new drug of 2012", and lead the development of its companion diagnostic that was described by Dr. Garry Cutting as the most successful diagnostic in Hopkins history. While Dr. Kaniecki’s scientific focus has been on personalized medicine, he brings a passion for neuropsychology drug development, patient advocacy, IP strategy, and operational management to the Perception team.
